Porcel Arts

Welcome to Atelier de Alice!

We are a salon specializing in Porcelarts lessons and interior flower design.

Porcelarts is the combination of Porcelain and Art.  It is a hobby that originated in Japan and allows you to make your own tableware designed with a cute flower, ribbon or other design with transfer paper onto pure white porcelain dishware and finally, fired up in a kiln. You can also design your own pattern with gold liquid or paint on the finish.  It is very easy to learn!

We offer lessons by appointments only, small class sizes (4-6 people), and customized lessons for each student  tailored to their individual interests.

当サロンは、ポーセラーツ・ポーセリンアート・インテリアフラワーのレッスンサロンです。 生徒様お一人おひとりのニーズに合わせた、完全予約制・少人数制のレッスンとなります。

About Me

When I was little, I was always interested in the designs of antique tableware.  I was always fascinated by the thought, skill, and effort that went into designing and creating each piece.  Throughout the years, I have traveled around the world in the hopes of discovering more and more beautiful tableware that has been created over the course of many years by so many talented artists. While living in Japan a few years ago, I discovered a porcelarts salon.  It was love at first sight!  Everything about it came together with my interest in antique tableware, and I have been enamored ever since. What I love the most is that I can create unique tableware based on my own design and I can use it to decorate my home.  I can also create handmade gifts for my loved ones on special occasions, like birthdays, bridal showers, anniversaries, etc. I am excited to share my passion with you, and look forward to teaching you how to create your own special tableware for your loved ones!

In the summer of 2016, I completed an instructor license program with the Japan Vogue Association.   In Japan, a home salon is the traditional way to teach Porcelarts. It is an great setting for a group of girls to chat, learn a new hobby, and also enjoy  afternoon tea together! It’s much more leisurely than happy hour at a bar. Now, the Porcelarts Salon concept is available in the U.S. for the first time!
